Julia's aim is to stock pictures of every breed of dog, but there are now many breeds which have been imported from other countries, of which there are only a small number. So an artist is not likely to produce a print of these breeds because the publisher would not sell a large number from a Limited Edition and it would not be economically viable.

However, she has a huge stock of antique engravings of dogs, dating from around 1790, which are of interest to breeders, as the conformation of the dog has usually changed a little over the years. There were some very good artists of the period 1920 - 1940 , such as Maud Earl, Lucy Dawson, Kathleen Barker and, of course, Cecil Aldin, who produced really charming small pictures of the dogs which were so popular then and are even more sought after now, for example, Sealyhams, Scotties, Deerhounds, Cairns and many more.

There are some lovely character studies and these are inexpensive prints of today's dog artists, it is impossible to describe all their work, so Julia can only suggest you telephone if you are looking for a particular breed and she can send more details.

Artists always in stock are Mick Cawston, winner of many awards for best dog artist, Debbie Gillingham with some charming small and inexpensive studies, Paul Doyle with amusing scenes of dogs eyeing drinks on a bar or looking naughty., John Trickett famous for many years for his outstanding pictures, particularly of Labradors and Malcolm Coward, for a wide variety of subjects Gill Evans's pictures have proved to be very popular over many years. She has produced pictures of nearly all the breeds and several of the favourites - the Jack Russells and Border Terriers which seem to be top of the poll!
There are some really outstanding artists around today, who paint dogs with incredible attention to detail and also manage to produce an attractive, entertaining story to go with it. These are always on view at the shows, otherwise please ring for details.
